New Zealand 7s rugby coach, Gordon Tietjens will be the Guest Speaker for the Fiji Sports Council and FASANOC awards night next Friday.

The announcement was made today that Tietjens who is a well known 7s coach in the IRB 7s series will be in the country next week.

The NZ 7s mentor has been guiding his side from 1994 winning four Commonwealth gold medal including rugby first in 1998.

Tietjens has won 6 IRB 7s series title since it started in 2000 and was also the New Zealand Rugby Union coach of the Year for 2010.

He was also named the NPC coach of the Year in 2000.

The Fiji Sports-awards night will take place next Friday.
