The New Zealand rugby sevens coach Gordon Tietjens said his side cannot afford to bask in the glory of winning their first ever Adelaide tournament.

After beating South Africa 28-20 in the Australia final last night, the men in black’s focus immediately switched to the final two rounds of the world series in England and Scotland.

New Zealand are now on 134 points with a 13 point lead over the second placed England, but Tietjens is well aware that even the smallest of hiccups at the UK tournaments could see them overtaken in their quest to reclaim the World Series title.

The London 7s kicks off on May the 21st.
