Tietjens retains Fijian trio
Tietjens has announced a star studded line-up with only the inclusion of Counties Manukau Fritz Lee, as a new cap in the second leg of the IRB 7s series.
Coach Gordon Tietjens, whose side leads the series after winning the opening two rounds in Dubai and South Africa, has otherwise stuck with tried and trusted players heading into Wellington.
Tietjens has stuck with season campaigners led by Captain DJ Forbes, Kurt Baker, Paul Grant, Zar Lawrence, Sherwin Stowers and Nafi Tuitavake.
They lost the New Zealand 7's title last year in the final to England by 19-17 after Isoa Damudamu scored at the stroke of fulltime.
New Zealand is in Pool A with Niue, Wales and South Africa.
The New Zealand 7s gets underway in Wellington on Friday at 1pm.
