New Zealand 7s coach, Gordon Tietjens has highly rated the Digicel Fiji 7s team going into the Australia Sevens this week.
Nine time IRB Sevens winning coach said despite the late naming of the coach and team for the first IRB Sevens Series tournament, Fiji will definitely come out strong this weekend.
Tietjens who has a lot of respect for the Fijians told Fijivillage that one can never underestimate teams like Fiji and Samoa as they have heaps of talent and it does not matter even if these two teams bank on their in-experience players.
Meanwhile, Tietjens added as always the team that wins the opening round of the IRB Sevens Series will be the one to watch throughout the season.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team flies out to Australia tonight and its first match at the Australia 7s will be against Niue at 5.25pm this Friday.
Fiji will play Kenya at 8.31pm and the final pool match will be against New Zealand at 12.14am on Saturday.
