New Zealand 7s coach Gordon Tietjens has cleared the air and admits the door is still open to players vying for a place in his team to next month’s World Cup.

Tietjens said he will use the USA 7s to test his young players who have come in to replace Tomasi Cama, DJ Forbes and Edwin Cocker.

However, Tietjens added that the greatest loss going into this weekend’s tournament is the absence of his three best players.
