Tickets are now on sale for the first of 10 rounds of the brand new HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

With the 12‑team women’s tournament set to take place on 4 and 5th of next month and the 16‑team men’s event at the same venue, over 100,000 fans and 4,000 players are expected to descend on Dubai’s purpose‑built ‘7he Sevens’ complex.

Last season South Africa won the Dubai Cup for the first time since 2008, defeating Australia 33‑7 in the final, while the Vodafone Fiji 7s team went on to claim the overall series title.

The Dubai tournament kicks off the biggest ever season of sevens as the world’s finest players get set to contest 10 series rounds, which leads up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The pools for the Dubai 7s are yet to be confirmed.
