Thousands of people are expected to attend the ceremony and witness the entombment of the late Tui Vuda and former President Ratu Josefa Iloilo at the chiefly burial grounds of Naburenivalu in Viseisei, Vuda today.

All roads that lead into Viseisei Village, Vuda will be closed from 9am today ahead of the funeral service.

The roads will be opened again after the burial ceremony.

Chairman of the State Funeral organizing committee and Permanent Secretary Defense Jale Fotofili confirmed that police officers have set up operations in the village and are strictly monitoring movement of vehicles.

Work in the village will also cease by this time and movement will be strictly restricted.

The funeral service for Ratu Iloilovatu will be held at the Jone Wesele Church which will begin at 10am.

Those wishing to be at Viseisei village today are advised to be at the village before the closure time.

Meanwhile, as a final respect to the Late Tui Vuda, Lautoka city will be closed for half day today.

Special Administrator, Praveen Bala said Lautoka is the hometown of the late Tui Vuda and the Sugar city will be closed from 8am to 1pm today during the funeral of the Late President.
