A total of 13,881 people have been booked for speeding while 753 have been booked for drink driving for this year alone.
These figures have been confirmed by Director Traffic Senior Superintendent Ramend Raj who said the police have also recorded a total of 920 accidents and all these figures are from January to June this year.
Raj confirmed the police are working together with the National Road Safety Council and the Land Transport Authority to ensure that these numbers decrease.
