The Fiji Museum Board of Trustees Chairman, Winston Thompson is thankful to the Interim Government for the increase of the Fiji Museum's Annual Grant of $318,000.
Thompson said this would greatly enable the Fiji Museum to progress with the development and maintenance work which has been delayed due to lack of funds.
Meanwhile Interim Minister for National Heritage, Filipe Bole said with the money, much needed items could be purchased to store the ancient collections.
Bole said with the increase in the annual grant by the interim Government, the salaries of the staff members have been fully reinstated in early January this year.
