Nadroga team captain Tiko Matawalu dedicated yesterday's 11-10 win against Naitasiri in the 6th BSP Farebrother Challenge Series to his 9-day old daughter, Alleluia Matawalu, who he buried four days ago.

The soft spoken Lau native shed tears of determination before the match, when a minute of silence was observed to remember his late daughter.

Matawalu was lost for words after the win and said it has not been easy for him and the team, and he only wanted to lead Nadroga again to a win, and to dedicate the win to "Alleluia".

Meanwhile, Naitasiri captain Sainivalati Vunibola thanked all their supporters for turning up in numbers at Lawaqa Park, and said the game was very tough, as it was between the two champion teams in Fiji, Digicel Cup winners, Naitasiri and Farebrother holders, Nadroga.

Vunibola added that his boys will now enjoy the break before the defence of the Digicel Cup and another season of the BSP Farebrother in 2011.

Nadroga will now prepare to meet Nadi in the last challenge next Saturday of the BSP Farebrother at Lawaqa, and a commentary of the match can be heard on our sister station Viti FM.
