A Christmas tree for many is a decorative piece filled with tinsel, lights, angels and stars, however there is a Christmas tree of a different kind that would mean a lot for those in need.
This Christmas tree at the Catholic St Joseph the Worker Parish in Tamavua, has on its branches, different suggestions of what food products they can donate to the needy of the Parish, for example, rice, sugar etc.
This is an initiative of the Non-profit organisation under the auspices of the Catholic Church - St Vincent De Paul.
Tamavua Branch Leader, John Kaufuti said this is a time for giving and sharing and this Christmas tree is the perfect opportunity to do so.
Kaufuti said these items are then distributed on Christmas Day.
Kaufuti said the Christmas tree and its suggestions is also open to the public who want to give back to the community and they can visit the Saint Joseph The Worker Parish in Tamavua at any time of the day.
