The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said those drivers who drive through the red lights thinking that they are not being watched will have to think twice.
Chief Executive Officer Etuate Koroi said they are planning to install red light cameras as drivers sometimes run the red light without thinking.
However, Koroi said they have to look at the law and once it is passed, the plan will go ahead.
