“Think Tank”, What Is Its Role?
The Nabua circuit raised the matter that there is a need for an explanation from the church on who are the members of the “Think Tank” and what is their core role.
Former President Reverend Manasa Lasaro spoke on behalf of the team in assuring the conference it consists of church members who hold top positions in government ministries and former top military officials who advise the church on any related issues which will affect the members.
Lasaro has made it clear that Church Ministers are not experts in every issue and they need outside inputs who are familiar with the issues to guide them.
He added that former Vice President Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi is also a member of the Church "Think Tank" team which had already met on 5 occasions before the Annual Conference.
Lasaro will also let the members know today on why the church is against the proposed People's Charter before a form is given out to all members to sign to reject the draft Charter.
