A lot needs to be looked at before laying the blame on anyone for committing a crime out of anger.
Following the incident involving a 22 year old woman throwing her two babies in the Rewa River earlier this week, Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Co-ordinator Shamima Ali said that although the offence is serious, help should be provided to the woman to find out the real cause of the drastic action taken by her.
Ali also calls on women not to take such actions but seek guidance and advice from family and friends if they are faced with any problems.
The mother, Ronika Devi charged with two counts of murder has been further remanded in custody and is expected to appear in Court on the 6th of next month.
The woman is believed to have had a heated argument with her husband after which she allegedly threw her babies into the river.
