The Ministry of Education will not condone unruly behaviour that is not in line with school rules.

This was the statement from the Interim Minister of Education Filipe Bole in light of students being caught drinking on school premises.

He confirmed that the five girls from a boarding school in the Central Division had been expelled for consuming liquor on school premises in mid-June, and added that peer pressure is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Bole said students must realize that they need to have a strong willpower and a deep conviction to always do what is best for themselves, their families and their school.

Meanwhile, the Minister has called on all students to seriously think of their future and their families.
