A group of unknown men are still on the run who broke into an office in Nadi and stole more than $10,000 in cash and other office equipment to a total value of $32,000.

Nadi police is calling on members of the public to come forward should they have any information on the whereabouts of these people.

It is believed that the unknown men broke into Sharma Industrial Company between 5pm on Friday afternoon and 8am Saturday morning.

Police said the alarm was raised when the office was opened on Saturday and a safe containing $10,400Fijian, $600US and $500Australian, three laptops, a mobile phone, digital camera and other officer equipment were missing.

Meanwhile, police booked close to 500 drivers over the weekend for road offences throughout the country.

Nine drivers were arrested for drunken driving offence while most road offences were of speeding.
