There is no Diwali without lights as light signifies goodness and wards of darkness and evil.

These are the words of the Programs Director for Radio Sargam, Anirudh Diwakar who said Diwali lamps and lights bring the supernatural brightness and joy with the hope of finding light in darkness, achieving knowledge where there is ignorance and spreading love.

He said Radio Sargam is once again running the Diwali Lights competition and judges will be out on Diwali night judging the houses.

He said the idea is to encourage people to lighten up the nation with Diwali lights.

He said they urge people of other races to take part in the competition as well.
