Students should not take mobile phones to school, however, if parents allow them to use it, then they should teach their children the proper manner to use mobile phones too.
These are the words of the coordinator of the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Shamima Ali who said that students these days are allowed to use internet and she sees no reason why students should not use mobile phones.
However, Ali said that there is a limit to everything.
Ali's comment comes after the vice principal of Ratu Kadavu Levu School, Mesake Tukana, said that earlier this year he confiscated mobile phones from students which contained illicit adult material, and also alleged that some students have been found making calls to drug peddlers in the area.
