We need to thank our forefathers who started the trend of celebrating Holi at such a scientifically accurate time when heat gets unbearable.

Those were the words of the Vice President of Shri Sanatan Dharam Prathinidhi Sabha, Pundit Vivek Sharma who said that during the time of Holi, many people have the tendency to feel sleepy due to the heat and to counteract the laziness, Hindus around the world and Fiji sing loudly with fast music which helps rejuvenate the system of the human body.

Sharma said that during Holi mainly colour red is used as it represents blood and teaches oneness.

He said the Hindu community in Navua will this year again celebrate Holi with the Non-Hindu community.
