Terrorism has become a global issue and it impacts Fiji as well.
These are the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama at the 64th session of the United Nations General Assembly over the weekend.
Bainimarama said critics of his 2006 coup do not know the full extent of reasons behind it.
Meanwhile, on the subject of climate change, Bainimarama said that like most island states, Fiji regards the threat of climate change as one that will undermine international peace and stability.
Bainimarama called on all states, in particular the major emitters to be responsible and committed to carbon emission targets.
