A team of fifteen police officers are in Nawaisomo village in Beqa as tension remains high following the death of a 3 year old child who according to police was allegedly killed.
Police Deputy Director Operations, SP Erami Raibe said a team of officers from Navua and from the CID department are on the Island and are conducting investigations.
SP Raibe said the tension is high in the village and police are closely monitoring the situation.
Post mortem conducted reveal that the girl may have been strangled.
She was found floating in the sea near a reef on the Beqa island.
