The Transport Ministry has just announced that private vehicle owners can now get temporary permits to provide services to the members of the public.
Principal Information Officer, Sainiana Waqainabete said the temporary permits will be valid for 30 days.
When asked on the fares that the private vehicle owners can charge, Waqainabete had this to say.
The Transport Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete confirms that civil servants should report to work today and liase with the Permanent Secretaries for provision of transport.
Waqainabete said mini vans and mini buses will also be issued temporary licences to provide services during the crisis and government vehicles will be used to transport civil servants.
