The 30 days temporary permits given by the Transport Ministry to the private vehicle owners, mini vans, taxi and carrier owners will end this Sunday.
Principal Information Officer, Sainiana Waqainabete said the Ministry earlier made a decision to issue temporary permits for 30 days, but after the Bus Operators Association resumed services this morning, the temporary permits will end this Sunday.
Meanwhile, an official investigation is underway to determine if any law was breached this morning when members of the Fiji Bus Operators Association went on strike this morning.
Director Operations, SSP Waisea Tabakau has confirmed that the strike had a direct effect on the country's economy and people, and this is why an investigation is necessary.
