Telecommunication providers in the country have asked the Commerce Commission for more time to make submissions on the interconnectivity rates.
Commerce Commission Chairman Dr. Mahendra Reddy said they do not want the telecom providers to complain later.
Dr. Reddy said it was noted during the public submissions that many people do not know how the interconnectivity rates affect them.
He said all people want is cheaper calls.
The interconnectivity rate is the rate charged by individual telecom providers for connecting to another network. A final decision on the interconnectivity rate is expected by mid August.
