The world’s best Sevens coach Gordon Tietjens has named three Fijians in the New Zealand Emerging team for the Uprising Sevens tournament this week.

All Blacks Sevens player Luke Masirewa, former New Zealand Sevens rep David Raikuna and former Lelean Memorial School under 19 center Setareki Tamanivalu will be in action in the two day meet.

The team includes four new members of the All Blacks Sevens team who have recently been contracted for the first time, including Warwick Lahmert who will captain the side, Maisrewa, Belgium Tuatagaloa and Gilles Kaka.

Former New Zealand Sevens speedsters Iopu Iopu and Gareth William-Spears will add pace to the side.

The New Zealand Emerging Sevens team is pooled with the FMF Fiji Warriors, URF Army and Uprising.
