Four youths who allegedly broke into a car and stole $20,000 have been charged with one count of theft each.

The four aged 12, 14, 15 and 17 years are expected to appear in the Suva Magistrates court today.

It is alleged that on Friday afternoon, the 12 and 14-year-olds broke into a unlocked parked vehicle in Wailada Lami to steal $20,000 belonging to a 57-year-old businessman.

The two later joined by two others proceeded to Suva to spend the money.

Quick action by police led to their arrest an hour later at Victoria Parade, Suva with around $19,500 recovered.
