Police have arrested a 27 year old man of Navosa for allegedly using a 17 year old teenager to transport Marijuana from the highlands of Navosa to Sigatoka town.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said police arrested the 17 year old teenager with 25 kg of dried leaves believed to be marijuana after a tip off.
The dried leaves are worth more than $40,000.
He was transporting the dried leaves on a horse.
Upon his arrest the 17 year old gave information about the farmer and police raided his farm and uprooted marijuana plants worth more than $20,000.
The plants and dried leaves have been sent to Koronivia for analysis.
