Teenage pregnancy is one of the bigger issues in Fiji today and this has not declined over the last twelve months.
These are the words of Marie Stopes International Pacific Regional Program Director, Heather Clarke at a partnership workshop on sexual and reproductive health today at JJ's on the Park.
Clarke said the workshop is to address a number of issues faced by today's society in Fiji adding the increase of teenage pregnancies is due to a lack of understanding.
She also said that they are looking at ways to inform people about sexually transmitted infections including HIV which is still increasing.
At the end of the workshop a work plan be in place which will result in greater access to health services to the people of Fiji
The workshop ends tomorrow.
