A 27 year old technician of Nadi has been charged with the alleged murder of 40 year old foreman, Ramesh Prasad of Meiguniya, Nadi.
He was charged last night with one count of murder and will appear in the Nadi Magistrate’s Court this morning.
The alleged incident took place during a drinking party where the suspect allegedly stabbed Prasad with a kitchen knife.
A group of people including the suspect and Prasad were drinking at Prasad's house when an argument developed between the two.
The suspect got hold of a kitchen knife and allegedly stabbed Prasad multiple times in the stomach.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Nadi Hospital.
