A technical problem with a filter at the Tamavua treatment plant since yesterday will see residents of the greater Lami area without water supply until mid-night tonight.
Water Authority Spokesperson, Joe Cava said that the technical problem at the Tamavua Treatment Plant yesterday, which reduced water production and affected water levels at the Tamavua Reservoir.
Cava said that since there is a limited number of trucks of four trucks to service a large area, people are being asked to use water sparingly as water will be out from this afternoon to midnight.
Areas affected are Togalevu, Veisari, Wailekutu, Lami, Delainavesi, Wailoku, Mead Road including Ratu Mara Rd junction & Samabula North areas.
