Organizers of the Uprising Fiji International 7s will thoroughly screen all local 7s teams intending to take part in the tournament next month.

Coordinator, Randell Kamea said this tournament is a world class event and they want the best teams to feature in the two days of competition.

Kamea said Army Green and Police Blue have already booked their places, however, they need more teams in case some overseas based teams pull out.

So far Tonga, Manawatu, the Grizzlies from the US, a France development team, the New Caledonia national 7s team and two teams from New Zealand have all confirmed their participation.

They are still awaiting a confirmation from the Samoa Rugby Union, who are expected to make a decision after the Board Meeting today.

The Uprising Fiji International 7s will be held on the 21st and 22nd of next month at the TFL Stadium.

The teams will be battling for the $20,000 prize money.
