Teams taking part in the Digicel Cup this season received a major boost today when Digicel Fiji announced that each of the 12 teams will receive $25,000 in sponsorship this year.
Digicel CEO, Matt Davey says this is the third season they have sponsored the 15's provincial tournament with prize money of $22,000.
Davey adds they have doubled their sponsorship from last year to assist in the development of local talents in the country.
FRU CEO, Keni Dakuidreketi has confirmed that they hope to assist coaches and teams taking part in the competition with the assistants provided by the FRU technical team.
In the feature match this week defending champions Nadroga will take on Naitasiri at Lawaqa park on Saturday at 3pm.

In other games Northland will host Navosa, Suva travels to Tavua, Tailevu will take on Nadi and Rewa will play Lautoka.
