Team was mentally defeated - Kasibulu
Those are the words of the Fiji Rugby Union’s Interim Chairman, Rafaele Kasibulu following his assessment of Fiji’s performance in the last tournament.
Kasibulu said although Fiji’s performance was outstanding compared to the other teams in pool play, a different picture was revealed in the quarter final.
Kasibulu said there is no doubt that people should expect a quick fix.
However he confirmed that the FRU is expected to review the selection criteria of the 7s team after the USA 7s this weekend.
Meanwhile, the Digicel Fiji 7's team has arrived in Las Vagas.
Coach, Iliesa Tanivula said the team traveled long hours but the atmosphere is great in the US.
The Fiji 7's team is in Pool C in the USA 7's with Canada, Scotland and Australia. Fiji will play Canada in their opening pool game on Sunday at 7.52am.
