The Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni has appointed a special three member team to try and find the cause of difference between two senior officers in the force.
Commodore Teleni confirmed that resolving the personal differences between Deputy Police Commissioner Eroni Antonio and Assistant Police Commissioner Crime Nasir Ali will be the main task of the three member team to be led by Senior Superintendant and former FLP parliamentarian Ponipate Lesavua.
Teleni said the unit will investigate and find the truth about the allegations levelled by the two officers' against each other before making a recommendation is made to him.
Teleni said police are still liaising with the Public Service Commission regarding the terms of reference for the team to be led by Lesavua.
Both Nazir Ali and Eroni Antonio have made public statements in the past making certain allegations against each other.
