Team Fiji to the Mini Pacific Games in the Cook Islands is aiming to bring back 123 medals.

With the target that has been set by FASANOC, Team Fiji aims to bag the largest number of gold medals in athletics, a total of 18 golds.

Weightlifting for both men and women are aiming for 4 gold medals each and the bowls men's team is also aiming for four golds, while boxing, table tennis and the women’s bowls team are targeting three gold medals each.

Netball, rugby league, rugby sevens and touch rugby, who are all going back to the Cook Islands, are determined to defend their gold medals they won at the Pacific Games in Samoa in 2007.

Fiji won a total of 77 medals at the Pacific Games in 2007, and the last time they won more than a hundred medals was at the Pacific Games that Fiji hosted in Suva in 2003.

The Pacific Mini Games will be held in the Cook Islands in September.
