The Commonwealth Games Federation has not yet suspended Team Fiji from taking part in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi next year.
FASANOC President, Vidya Lakhan said that though Fiji is suspended from the Commonwealth, the Commonwealth Games Federation has not yet suspended Fiji from the Games and our last hope lies with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that will be held in Trinidad from November 27th to the 29th.
Lakhan adds that even our neighbours, Australia and New Zealand have rallied their support for Fiji.
Lakhan adds that they will now start writing to all the 71 Commonwealth Games Associations, asking them to request their heads of Government to support the recommendations from Fiji and once and for all keep politics out of the Commonwealth Games.
