Team Fiji chef de mission Patrick Bower is keeping his fingers crossed that a few more athletes will make the Olympic qualifying time to be in Beijing in August this year.

Makelesi Bulikiobo and Sisilia Nasiga are the only athletes so far to have qualified for the Olympics while there is a chance for New Zealand based Niko Verekauta, Leslie Copeland, Glen Kable, Joe Vueti and Fiji womens basketball team to qualify.

Bower said if these athletes miss out on the qualification through the Olympic qualifying process, then there is a possibility that they can still compete in the Olympics through a wild card entry.
