Team Fiji in 4th place after Day 5 of Pac games
They failed to win any gold medal in yesterday's competition but managed to win 7 silver and 4 bronze medals.
The silver medals came in the Archery competition from Shanti Cook and Robert Elder while Saimone Turagalevu won 2 silver in weightlifting competition and Glen Kable had to settle for silver in Shooting with Caroline Pickering and Rachel Ah Koy winning the last two silver medals in the swimming competition.
Team Fiji now has 12 gold, 15 silver and 20 bronze medals.
New Caledonia is still the leader with 30 gold, 24 silver and 21 bronze while Samoa lies in second place with 14 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze while Papua New Guinea lies in third place with 13 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.
Into Netball, the Fiji netball team has advanced into the semifinal of the netball competition after beating Cook Islands by 68 goals to 32 in their final pool match yesterday.
Fiji will now play Papua New Guinea in the semifinal tomorrow at 5pm while the other semifinal will be played between Samoa and Cook Islands.
In rugby, the Fiji 7's rugby side will start their defense of the Gold tomorrow when the 7's rugby competition gets underway in Samoa.
Fiji will play its opening pool match against Vanuatu at 10:44am and then at 1:06pm they play Tahiti. In their third pool match at 3:28pm Fiji takes on Tuvalu with their final pool match against Papua New Guinea at 5:10pm.
In Soccer, the Fiji soccer team has almost booked it's place in the semifinal of the soccer competition after the Tahiti and Tuvalu match last night ended in a one-all draw.
Fiji plays Tahiti on Sunday and a draw will put them into the semifinals while New Caledonia is the first team to qualify for the semifinals after they defeated Cook Islands 3-0 yesterday.
Vanuatu and Solomons will definitely qualify from Pool B. Vanuatu defeated American Samoa 15-0 yesterday while Solomons were on a bye as they already have 6 points from two games.
