With 5 days to go for the Pacific Games, team Fiji is still hoping for the government to give another $150,000.
FASANOC president Joe Rodan says this will cover their one third contribution and meet their target of $2.3 million which will take them to Papua New Guinea.
Meanwhile, Chef de mission Cathy Wong says the first batch of 221 athletes are expected to leave the country on Wednesday.
456 athletes from 26 sports will represent Fiji at the Pacific Games this year.
The second batch is expected to leave next Sunday.
The Pacific Games will be held from next Friday to the 18th of next month.
