Team Fiji athletics team is on track to continue their dominance in the track event finals this afternoon in the 4 by 100 metre and 4 by 400 metre in both the women and mens division.

Fiji currently lead the medal tally with 12 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze.

With the likes of Niko Verekauta, Banuve Tabakaucoro, Tevita Nalovo and Mataiasi Savou in the 4 by 100 metre, Fiji team is favourite to win gold.

Verekauta will also run in the 4 by 400 metre relay where he is eyeing his 5th gold medal.

In the womens 4 by 400 metre it will be led by Sprint Queen Makelesi Bulikiobo with the assistance from Paulini Korowaqa, and Maketalena Lokolokobuka.

Bulikiobo is also eyeing her 5th gold medal in the 4 by 100 meter relay.

Also in a gold medal play-off today the Fiji Netball team will take on PNG in the final at 1.30pm.

Looking at the medal tally Fiji leads with 14 gold, 10 silver and 9 bronze.

Tahiti at second place with 11 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze.

New Caledonia is on 3rd spot with 8 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze.
