Team Fiji aims to win more gold medals
Today 13 gold medals will be at stake in the Athletics competition where Team Fiji athletes will be in action.
Also starting today, will be the men's 4x100 relay heats at 2:30pm and the men's 4x400 meters heats starting at 4:40pm.
In Basketball, Fiji men’s and women’s basketball teams will play for the gold medal playoff's. The women’s team at 4:15pm will take on American Samoa and then at 6:30pm Fiji men’s team plays Guam.
In Boxing, Fiji's top boxer Mitieli Laca-levu has qualified for the final in the 60kg category and will fight at 4pm.
In Soccer, Fiji soccer team will meet New Caledonia at 5pm for the Gold / Silver medal playoff's while the women’s team at 11:30am will play against Tahiti for the Bronze medal.
In Squash, Fiji mixed squash team will feature in the final today at 11am and will play against Papua New Guinea for the Gold and Silver medal. The women’s doubles team will also play for the gold medal playoff against Samoa at 1pm while the men’s doubles team will play against New Caledonia for the bronze medal.
In Powerlifting, Fiji power lifters Iliesa I-rava and Rupeni Fati-aki will be competing today and both of them have a chance of winning medal in the 100kg and 110kg category. Keep tuned for more updates on Pacific Games.
