Team Fiji is struggling to be in the medal contention at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune.

After all of our athletes taking part in the 100m, 400m and 1500m bowed out from the semifinal it seems that the other sports is also following their performance.

Boxers Ritesh Lal and Mohammed Shahmeem lost in the quarterfinals and also the badminton duo of Steven Wong and Devarasi Sharma lost in the double events to Scotland 21-13 and 21-8.

Most of our swimmers will take part this evening together with Paulini Korowaqa and Eroni Cagi in the 200m heats.

Fiji still has 1 gold medal in the overall medal tally and is in 9th place while host India leads with 6 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze.
