Team Fiji has started off its Pacific Schools Games on a good note after they bagged one silver medal today in the Under 11, 100 meters today.

Jacob Waqanivalu who also represented Suva in the FMF Chow Games last month topped his heat to finish second in the final with a time of 12.51 seconds.

The Pacific School Games is currently under way in Canberra with over 5000 school children taking part.

Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea's Olympic swimmer Ryan Pini who is the coach for the PNG team said that is eyeing to representing his country to next year's World Championships.
