Team Fiji has again reduced the number of athletes to take part in this year's Mini Pacific Games in Cook Islands.
Initially the officials decided to take around 250 athletes but in yesterday's meeting it was confirmed that only 215 athletes and officials will be part of Team Fiji.
Chef de Mission Patrick Bower said lack of finance has forced them to only take the best athletes that are gold medal prospects.
The interim government allocated $420,000 in the 2009 National budget for the Mini Pacific Games while FASANOC needed $750,000 to make all the cost.
The Mini Pacific Games will be held in September.
