Team Fiji Weightlifter Joe Vueti will not compete today as scheduled in the Program given by FASANOC.
It is believed that Team Fiji officials made a blunder by putting Vueti's name in the Men's 69kg event for today where as he is listed in the Men's 77kg event for tomorrow.
National Weightlifting Coach Della Shaw said Team Fiji officials were aware that Vueti was to compete in the 77kg event.
According to Shaw, Vueti moved up one class while training in New Caledonia for the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Meanwhile the only Team Fiji athlete in action today will be swimmer Carl Probert. He will compete in the Men’s 100 meters freestyle event at 10 tonight.
