Teachers throughout the country have been warned to refrain from commenting in the media on any issue regarding the Education Ministry or face disciplinary action.
The Education Minister Filipe Bole said that a number of Primary and secondary school teachers have been commenting in the media lately on issues that contradict the Ministry's policies and procedures.
He said there are forums in which they can direct their grievances instead of taking them to the media.
He said the teachers and all Education Ministry employees have been informed about the directive.
Bole has warned that the ministry will immediately instigate disciplinary action on teachers and Ministry officials, who do not take heed of the directive.
