Any teacher or member of the public who will now teach students without getting registered will have to face the consequences.

Education Minister Filipe Bole said they have received reports of some people entering the classrooms to teach religious knowledge on a part time basis or conducting coaching clinics or any other classes.

Bole said even Peace Corp volunteers and members of other voluntary schemes are bound by the Fiji Teacher Registration Board promulgation.

He said the Head teachers and School principals including the school managements are encouraged to see that such people are registered before they are allowed access to the children

He said anyone found breaching the law will be prosecuted.
