All the teachers will now have to pay for their license to teach from 1st June this year.
Education Minister Filipe Bole said the Finance Ministry has approved the fees to be paid for Teacher Registration, however, he said the fees to be paid will be made known to the teachers through their Education District Offices.
According to Bole, teachers will be benefitting from the registration process as it will ensure that their experience and qualifications are easily portable across existing boundaries between schools, school systems and countries.
He said the registration system will see that all the teachers are competent to teach.
