Teachers have been asked to be more vigilant this last few weeks of school so that they are able to keep watch over their school students.
The Ministry of Education has sent out a memo to all school heads saying that they need to be more active and ensure that their school programs lure students to school by making their subjects more interesting.
Interim Education Minister, Filipe Bole in the release said that as truancy is a major problem, schools need to take this step.
The School system officially closes on the 28th of this month.
