Police are still questioning a 36 year old Primary school teacher of Labasa who allegedly raped a 17 year old girl between April last year and early this year.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Suliano Tevita said Labasa Police is now working on some new information regarding the alleged incident which has surfaced in the past two days.
According to Police, the girl was feeling sick last year and was unable to attend school. The parents then took the girl to the teacher who also specialized in healing sick patients with herbal medicines.
The teacher than allegedly took the girl to some hotels a few times where he allegedly raped her.
The matter was reported to Police after the girl told her mother about the incident.
